The primary objective of this certification is to prepare potential FTK graduates to become proficient in using AutoCAD software to create and edit Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), in line with the current industry requirements in Malaysia. This skill is crucial as it enables the accurate representation and communication of process flows in industries, particularly in the chemical and process engineering sectors.

The program was led by two instructors, Dr. Mazatusziha Binti Ahmad and Dr. Mohd Haiqal Bin Abd Aziz. The overwhelmingly positive response from the 32 final-year students in the Department of Chemical Engineering Technology reflects their keen interest in mastering AutoCAD for Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams. Their success in obtaining this certification highlights their dedication and commitment to learning and understanding the complexities of AutoCAD in the context of P&ID. It has underscored the importance of such competencies in the modern engineering landscape, where precise and clear diagrams are pivotal for the design, analysis, and operation of process systems.
